I just happen to play the guitar. My personal journey as a guitarist exists within history, not above or outside of it. The guitar is just the object that I hold on to the most while inhabiting this body in this realm of existence. It is merely an obstacle course, a barrier between my spirit's expressive impulses and the air molecules which vibrate in different patterns when I make certain gestures upon it. For me, those patterns form inner worlds and abstract languages, places to visit and emotions to feel. My hope is that it can also take you somewhere and make you feel something.

I imagined this album as more of a piano album, something akin to Keith Jarrett's Köln Concert--long solo excursions that lead where they may, moving through different zones, pulling over to soak in particularly enthralling vistas from time to time.

There are no edits or overdubs. Both tracks are complete single takes.

This was the first session I recorded after moving to Athens, GA in early 2021. So, it documents a momentous shift in my life. I have felt so welcomed by the music community in my new home town. Many thanks to Chris Byron at Amplify Studio at Nuci's Space for his incredible engineering skills and for being an early part of my happy acclimation to life as an Athenian.

Also, many million thanks to Michael Sill at Ramble Records in Australia for getting excited about this music and releasing it on Vinyl and CD.
